The world is changing, rising fuel and energy costs are driving businesses to base decisions on green energy solutions, this is further driven by customer expectations requiring their host to visibly invest in green energy solutions and be innovative in reducing plastic and food waste.
Personally, I don’t believe that reducing flights and only taking holidays to UK destinations is a choice all would be prepared to make, besides post pandemic many countries who are dependant on tourism are desperate for our business.
Our latest vacation, has been to the Mynd Hotel group in Lanzarote, they have extensive solar panels on each block of accommodation they ask that you bring a refillable water bottle for use at their water stations. There is a clear recycling programme in place, their breakfast is both amazing and locally sourced and in keeping with the island the construction makes use of the volcanic aggregates which are abundant for both building and landscaping.
