We have always had smoke and heat alarms in our properties, but ahead of the new legislation for Self Catering Properties, we have made the shift to connected smoke and heat alarms to all bedroom areas. Each property now has a connected wireless gateway, all smoke and heat alarms are connected so smoke from any of the rooms automatically triggers every alarm in the property providing those much needed vital seconds for safe exit.

App Managed Technology
The connected wireless gateway is app driven, so from a property management perspective monitoring each property could not be easier, there are instant alerts for each alarm and they can all be named to identify each individual room.
We have eliminated Carbon Monoxide as each property is fed via our biomass district heating system so there is no risk from any heating component in each of the properties.
Buying Both British and Local
The Connected system from Fire Angel based in Coventry, take fire protection to the next level, we have also deployed this to our farm buildings and main farm house.
Fire alarms can be tested through the app and you get an alert for each activation, if anyone removes an alarm you are also notified.
Additional Measures
We have replaced all key locks to thumb turn exit, so even if keys can’t be found exit is not compromised.
Additionally there are fire blankets and extinguishers to each property and extinguisher points to our site infrastructure.
