During winter months between bookings we perform a complete drain down to avoid frost damage. It is important to vac out all water then open both pump and heater units to expel remaining water.

Vac out jets with wet vac
Disconnect both heater and pump, allowing water to fully drain, we use a rubber oil filter remover to loosen. Do not reconnect until next fill as water can return through jets with rainwater ingress.
Only attempt if confident in your ability as more damage can be caused due to incompetence.
