UK Staycations Win The Heart Of The Nation

All Site View

With travel restrictions still continuing to dog the overseas travel trade, closer to home, UK Staycations are very much on trend this year. The industry has worked hard, implementing stringent cleaning regimes and safeguards to minimise the risk for travelers.

From our own experience running our Family Farm Stay, travelers are spending more time at their destination, for ourselves, our Saltwater Hot Tub bookings rose by 78% on the previous year, this has led to a massive increase in workload for our small staff team, however, we are more than glad to be busy again.

Our 19-20 income was a little over that of the previous years pre-pandemic level, which we were pleased with and included subsidised income support, our 20-21 was up significantly due to an increase in shorter stays and a change to our business model to meet the needs of our guests post-pandemic. Fortunately, we were able to provide key-worker and emergency accommodation which helped to plug the gaps in our vacant accommodation.

Going forward for 2022 we have resumed our Target Air Rifle shooting, Offer A Pizza Night with our commercial Pizza Oven Built on the farm and have a few other hidden gems to enhance our guest experience whilst staying on the farm.

The close proximity to The Cotswolds, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick Castle makes us well placed for off site activities and an enhanced guest ecperience.

Idyllic country stay

Where to begin! Oaks barn farm was truly everything you could wish for, a beautiful country escape with every need covered.

Wayne and sue were beyond helpful and couldn’t have made you feel more welcome. From stunning views, to warm stylish accommodation it was everything we could of wished for! Everything was so thought out especially with the current COVID situation everything was so clean, with sanitation stations placed around and social distanced welcomes, we felt so safe and comfortable!

I could not recommend staying here enough! Wayne and sue were always there for any questions and recommendations for local things to do and see. The shepherd’s huts were perfect with comfy beds and truly felt home from home. The added hot tub made evenings with a view even more special, with fire pit ,bbq and lawn games provided it made staying in even better 🙂

If you are looking for a country retreat with added home comforts, spectacular views and surroundings this is the place for you! We can’t wait to come back again!
