Lost For Words

So for those that know me well, the title of this blog is really not me, rarely do I find myself “Lost For Words”.

Tomorrow however I have a consultation with my Surgeon Mr Steve Pandey of NHS Worcester Royal Hospital, in 2016 he confirmed my diagnosis of Bowel Cancer, on the day of my surgery, I wrote to him not knowing what the future held, but with the request that he could do everything within his power to help me return to my life as a farmer being able to continue to do what I loved.

5 years on and he definitely kept up his side of the deal, what words do I find to thank him?

Now Cancer Free, my extra time has seen me Maried in 2017, featured in the Farmers Guardian raising awareness of the importance of getting yourself checked out for Bowel Cancer Symptoms.

February 2017 Wayne interviewed By Oxford University in Audio interview on patient experience post Bowel Cancer.

April 2017 Wayne talks at National Patient Day on phycological impact of being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer.

Ongoing Mentor to Bowel Cancer Surgery patients Pre and Post Op.

Our business has grown significantly, to the point where we are both full time on growing our business.

The gift of life, allowing me not just 5 years but many years to come is entirely due to an amazing NHS, a brilliant Surgeon and excellent pre and post Op team and of course my amazing wife.

Thank you Mr Seve Pandey
