With the Coronavirus now worsening the reality for farmers, is not only to ensure supplies for their family members to endure a self-isolation period but also for their livestock.
Lambing is always a busy time on the farm, feed supplements are essential for the healthy development of both lambs and their mother’s recovery. The potential impact on the supply chain may lead to a shortage in supply, delivery pinch points and in general a variety of complications at an already difficult time.
So from a personal perspective, our plans have to include food and family supplies in the event of self-isolation, feed and medical supplies to take us through lambing whilst at the same time taking all of the necessary steps to safeguard our farm stay guests.
