June 2018 will mark 2 years since my Bowel Cancer Diagnosis and July 2016 the anniversary of my new life going forward with a Stoma and no arse (not least as I knew it).
On Sunday I will meet again with my consultant he for a photo shoot, ok perhaps not the kind I would prefer as this one is to capture the inner me in the form of a colonoscopy, my first post op.
I’m not really sure what I feel, anxiety? Well that’s not really me I suppose numb and hopeful of an all clear for another year.
Last week We got the news that my Mum also has Bowel Cancer which has also spread to the liver, at 78 her journey is just beginning, so I Guess the term Cancer free comes with a heavy burden of Irony.
August 2018 marks 2 years of me being Cancer free, this is an amazing life event though the reality is far from free as daily I choose to be reminded of how good this life is and all it has to offer.
On the 28 May 2018 I will Celebrate my 1st Wedding Anniversary to my wonderful wife and soulmate Sue.
