Well yesterday certainly didn’t make for an easy way to load pigs ready for their final journey, ended up getting trailer stuck with Dan having to come to the rescue with tractor for loading.
Our loading however was the most successful yet, we fitted a gate to their pen and backed the stock box with tail gate right up to the pen, I fitted the gate so it could be simply lifted off, feed in trailer and they were loaded, lifting the trailer to reduce the angle on the tailgate also helped.
It’s now 3am and the wind is cranking up to 48mph for our 6am start, our guests will be pleased as sausages are definitely back on the menu at Oaks Barn Farm.
