Feeling Alive and Lucky

It’s six months on from my operation to remove cancer from my bowel, at present I am poolside at Turtle Beach in Tobago. Last night by chance encounter, we met with a couple on their anniversary, not the celebratory kind but the anniversary of their son who died aged just 34, he had a swelling in his stomach for him, his diagnosis was too late and for his parents living on beyond his Cancer I could offer no words of comfort.
Not sure why I got this second chance at life, but what I will do is make sure that I live each day to the full, packing it with life, experience and gratitude.

  1. You are in the right place to enjoy life, I have spent many a day at that pool bar and in the waters around the island scuba diving. If your condition allows I would highly recommend a trial dive as Tobago remains one of the few unspoilt diving areas around the Caribbean, or at least 10 years ago when I was there last.
