A Little More Green Sir?

A Little More Green Sir? Ten years on at Oaks Barn Farm and still growing.  This spring has seen the launch of our Come Grow With Us Project on the Farm, we recognise that our guests have a desire to get back to nature and the simplicity of eating healthily.

We are now able to offer our guests salad crops literally from farm to table and when available Lamb Pork and sausages from our pasture fed livestock.

Our Solar Panels have in the quarter generated a staggering 3,209KW from a total of 21,576KW since installation.

On the heating side of things, we have fully converted our heating system to a sustainable Wood Pellet Biomass system using UK Sustainably sourced fuel, this installation allows us to heat the farm the Granary and the Coach House, delivering both Heating and Hot water whilst at the same time allowing us to manage all of our washing and drying requirements in house.  This Significantly reduces our carbon footprint and that of our guests.

The Okofen System has been designed to load its pellets and clean itself using surplus solar energy and diverts heat not required in the buildings to our drying room for managing the daily laundry needs of the business.

Proud of our Rural Landscape, the farm enables us to give our guests a Luxury Farm Stay Experience Whilst not costing the Earth.
