LOCAL COMPANY ON ITS WAY TO GLORY
Oaks Barn Farm Luxury Farm Stay Experience, based in Alcester Warwickshire, has won an International CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Excellence Award in the National Campaign to find Britain’s most Caring Companies.
They competed against more than 200 other nominations in the international CSR Excellence Awards 2014, and they will be presented with their Trophy and certificate at a glittering Presentation ceremony in The Crystal, London on the 30th June 2014.
Their Trophy and Certificate will be presented by Miss UK Green Queen, Sophie Desbrow.
As a result of this International CSR Excellence Award Success they have been invited to have their winning paper published in The Global Guide to CSR Excellence, the leading international work of reference on corporate social responsibility best practice, so that others around the world can follow their example and learn from their achievement.
This Small family run business provides a farm stay experience in Shakespeare’s England at the heart of Rural Warwickshire; the farm has Chickens Saddleback Pigs and a growing flock of sheep. This family orientated Farm Stay sets out to increase awareness of where food comes from whilst educating informally on animal welfare issues associated to managing the food chain responsibly.

From the onset of providing a Farm Stay experience to all our guests, we had some clear values which focussed on active recycling, generation of our own electricity and producing our own food, allowing us to put back as much, if not more than we consume. This has paid dividends with our guests reaping an experiential value of their time on the farm which makes them come back time after time, good for business and good for the local economy.”
