One of our corporate Bookings have been undertaking some Exciting work in the nearby Village of Wellesbourne. To date the Archaeological dig has unearthed a Bronze Age Burial Ground surounded by a circular Trench which is now some 2 meteres below ground level, within it lie individual Burial Holes one of which lay the remains of a man his lower jaw now gone and his teeth remaining in the hole last filled in some 3500 years ago.
The site is to be developed by Perssimon Homes, once the excavations are complete the remains will be removed to make way for Housing Developments from its previous agricultural use.
