Our 2019 at Oaks Barn Farm

So as the year draws to a close, we look back over some of the changes on the farm.

Electric Vehicle Charge Point Installed

March saw the installation of our Elecric car charge point allowing guests to charge their EV from our Solar Plant.

May saw another close to lambing this year with our farm stay guests loving the new arrivals on the farm

CCTV Upgrade and 4G Networking

The advances in technology has seen our 3rd installation of CCTV in June, with an enhanced 4G connection now available to all of our guests bringing a fast wifi connection to the whole farm. This was Thanks to Shaun and his amazing networking knowledge us not only to install but extend both cameras and network solutions. the added benefit is from mobile alerts which allow us to instantly know when any part of the network is down or any part of our solar plant is down.

July 2019 Helped remove Concrete from Carols Garden little did we know how this favour would be repaid later in the year.

We also had another Wedding booking for the Granary

October 2019 Hard pads for Hot Tub & pathway for Biomass.

Green Energy Monitoring

November 2019 Installation of solar Home Manager by Nick from Profit Energy the monitoring kit allows us to collect realtime data on our energy consumption and production, this is ahead of our battery investment for banking our excess solar energy for nighttime use.

November installed chicken automatic door closure, an expensive addtion yet now trained allows our hens to be secure without the risk of foxes getting our hens at dusk.
