Redefining your USP, if I’m honest the first time I was asked what my USP was, I had to go and find out that it actually stood for Unique Selling Point, several jobs later and now working for myself I find that what we knew to be the key selling points for our business has post-COVID-19 caused us to look again, I now find myself listing items like a contactless Alcohol Gel dispenser as a key feature for our Farm Stay.
One of our key selling points previously, was how we would welcome guests to our farm, provide activities such as air rifle shooting and helping guests collect their own eggs for breakfast, getting involved with lambing and feeding our pigs.
So the truth is we still have to do all that and more. Finding new ways to continue to do what we are good at and love, while we chart a way through the awkwardness of the very important social distancing measures of our new world.

Focusing On Positives
Through our own lockdown we have developed a brilliant partnership with The Tavern Broom, many of our guests pre lockdown enjoyed the Gastro Dining Experience, they have helped us with food deliveries and in turn we have helped in the supply of fresh produce for their Takeaway Home Delivery Service, providing a valuable Rural Service. Our Plans for our new barn gained approval in May, and we now have an exciting project to focus our energy on. This will encompass a tree planting and landscaping plan and also the opportunity for further rainwater harvesting in line with our sustainability plan.
